Q: Is the conference only for Black writers?

A: No, although our focus is on Black mystery writers our panels are diverse and the people who attend the conference come from a cross section of society.

Q: Is the conference always in Oakland?

A: Yes, we have always held the conference in Oakland but welcome participation from people who are interested in the genre and this subset of the genre from anywhere in the world.

Q: How much does the conference cost?

A: At this time the registration cost for a full day conference which includes lunch is $65 per person and $55 for seniors and members of FOCH.

Q: What do you get as a member of FOCH?

A: You will receive a discount on all FOCH related programs a copy of the newsletter published three times a year and occasional email notices of events of interest to mystery fans.
